good morning koalas and Welcome to our Monday morning assembly my name is acen Leach your student council vice president please join me in the Pledge of Allegiance please stand put your right hand over your heart ready Eagan I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all thank you you may be seated when our PTA today PCA is a great way to support your child's education and stay informed anyone can join parents students teachers families friends and community members so far we have 202 members and Counting help us meet our goal of 500 members by winter break check out the sea apta.org website for special member discounts Delavan school spirit our school spirit wear flash sale is going on now through September 25th at midnight check out our new colors and designs all orders will be did after the sale is complete and will ship to the school to be distributed visit Spirit hero.com to and enter Delevan Drive Elementary free in the school box to take advantage of our flash sale deals PTA Reflections art program each year over 300,000 students in pre-K through grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student selected theme for our Reflections art program this 50 + year old program helps students explore their own thoughts feelings and ideas develop artistic literacy increase confidence find a love for learning that will help them be more successful in school and in life this year's theme is show your voice students answer in more than one category including dance choreography music composition literature photography Film Production and visual arts submissions due October 14th at pta.org Reflections stay tuned we will have a kickoff meeting soon if you need more information quality on kickoff super koalas Unite wallet on our biggest fundraiser of this year is under way this money will help fund our pta-sponsored school programs and initiatives this year like Accelerated Reader Tumblebooks Library in richt La Garden our new PA teacher and stem enrichment programs just to name a few parents create your student fundraiser is being page and start sharing with family and friends we have such a huge goal of raising $65,000 we have raised $18,765 so far we only need to raise $2,225 more to earn a special dress like a superhero day where are our class leaders mr. Owen super koalas are in the lead with $2,685 raise followed by mrs. Rivera's class with 2000 $90 keep up the great work koalas school-wide incentives we have a lot of we have lots of fun ascentives like no homework passes new Delavan Walla magnets Delavan socks toads and water bottles if we reach our goal of at least one $10 donor from all of the 50 states we will have a school why popsicle party we got so close last year start asking you a lot Alaskan Hawaiian and Dakota now Dakota is not Delavan school spirit let's show our school spirit koalas every Friday come to school wearing any Delavan where you own it can be a old triathlon wallet on a r or even a suit cancel trip basically any item with a koala or Delavan On It Go Delavan Wacky Wednesday Wacky Wednesday September 21st is International Peace Day light on it they could be a peace t-shirt sweater hat socks and more you could can get creative and decorate or make a pizza next Wacky Wednesday next week he Wednesday September 28th is in their National save the koala day International save the koala day is organised by the Australian Koala Foundation their objective is to save koalas and their natural habitat to wear an awareness and prevent koalas from being extinct in celebration of international save the koala day where any item with a koala on it it could be a quality shirt sweater and more get creative and you can even create your own t-shirt and draw or tape call on them does September student of the month Ivy character traits Spotlight is principled we are with integrity and honesty with a strong sense of fairness and justice and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere we take responsibility for our actions and our consequences our September Ivy character quote of the week for principles is principles are what allow you to live a consistent with those values principles connect your values to your actions by Ray dalio for the students of the week for September 12th through September 16th and mrs. Owens 2nd grade class is I am that's wonderful Ziah and mrs. Nation October 2nd class the student of the week is Sophia I knew you could do is Sophia the student of the week and Miss Blake's third grade class is Nishi we appreciate you nice you and mrs. Kessler third grade class the student of the week is archery good job Audrey the Sunnah of the week and mrs. Thank you a sin wonderful job good morning raising koalas and happy Monday morning to all of you I want to say congratulations to all of our students of the week good job koalas and I I know we will have you know many others the year progresses so good job this week we will continue to celebrate US Constitution awareness as well as Hispanic Heritage Month we have a amazing displays in the library so as classes come through the library you'll see you'll have an opportunity to learn and observe about some of the great contributions of some of our Hispanic citizens as well as some information Vital Information around the u.s. Constitution we have us as we go through the week all of us as we are outside at recess at lunch we want to continue to demonstrate our September I be principal I betrayed of principled behavior so we're going to be looking for those behaviors so let's remember to act with Integrity honesty a strong sense of fairness and Justice and with respect and dignity and rights of people everywhere less respect our classmate respect our teachers respect our family members so we want to see demonstrations of principled behaviors I want to just let everyone know that I am so proud what I have seen as I have walked around our classrooms as I have watched this outside in the classroom and outside the work that we have been doing as our year has begun boys and girls you have been working so hard in your classrooms I'm so how old have you and proud of all of the hard work that our teachers are doing for you let's continue the good work those are all of my announcements for this morning let's have a marvelous Monday and a wonderful week thank you, but your undivided attention and that concludes our assembly
